Laziness is a concept whose relevance in our time should be reconsidered.
In opposition with the ideology of productivity, laziness as an existential attitude could bring a new perspective on the contemporary world and help us step back from its unsustainable habits.
I built an hammock structure has an apparatus for idleness, and a perfomance has been conceived around it together with the artist Merve Iseri, with the aim of formulating a personal practice of laziness.
By performing this 'exercise' a gap, a punctum is created in the routine of production, efficiency and speed: a moment of un-categorized time where lightness, self-expression and freedom are let in.
